Research Experience
2016-2017
Clinical Fellow, Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Nashville, TN
Research Area: Pharmacogenomics of aromatic amine anticonvulsants
- Develop an electronic-phenotype that can be applied to the synthetic derivative and BioVU, Vanderbilt’s electronic biobank for genetic association studies
- Validate cases of adverse drug reactions, primarily Stevens Johnson Syndrome/ Toxic epidermal necrolysis (SJS/TEN) and Drug Reaction with Eosinophilia and Systemic Symptoms (DRESS) across various EMRs
- Define the epidemiology and genetics (HLA and CYP primarily) characteristic of European patients with aromatic anticonvulsant severe cutaneous adverse reactions
2014-2015
Pediatric Resident, Jacobi Medical Center, New York, NY
Research Area: Asthma and Allergic Rhinitis
- To elucidate how often resident physicians utilize either physical exam or history findings in diagnosis of allergic rhinitis in patients admitted with acute asthma exacerbations
